Configuration Profiles

click  in navigation pane to navigate to Configuration Profiles page, You could create, delete and export configuration profiles in Configuration Profiles page.

 

Configuration profile is a profile containing all necessary settings and options for configuring a TempSen data logger.

Create Configuration Profile

click  on tool bar of  Configuration Profiles page to create a new configuration profile

Select Target Device Model

  1. Select device series in Series drop-down
  2. Select device in Device drop-down

Configurations

After selecting target device model, you could select or enter the configuration settings you need for the selected device.

Device Settings

Profile Profile Name Custom name for configuration profile
Profile ID

6-digit identification number for configuration profile, this number will be displayed on device LCD after configuration, due to the restictions of different lcd display designs, there are following two type of profile IDs

  • 6S: (Supported characters: 0-9, ABCDEFGHIJLNOPQRSTUY)
  • 6L: (Supported characters: 0-9, A-Z)

Trip Trip Note Custom note for a recording task
Logging Logging Interval

Data sampling and recording interval, 1 minute to 2 hours

Logging Cycle Estimated logging duration calculated based on memory capacity

Start Delay

After device is started mannually, device will start recording after start delay time

Manual (with Temperature Condition)

Temperature Condition

After device is started mannually, device will start recording when environment temperature meets the preset temperature condition

Auto

Auto Start Time

  • Logger will start recording automatically at preset auto start time after device configuration
  • You need to need provide start time when configuring device
Repeat Start

Once enabled, user could start recording manually right after recording stops without reconfiguring device

Alarm Settings

Item Description
Alarm  Zone

Name of enabled alarm bands

High Zones

Data point values above limits of these zones will be considered as limit violations

  • H3 (A1)
  • H2 (A2)
  • H1 (A3 / High / Hi)

Low Zones

Data point values below limits of these zones will be considered as limit violations

  • L1 (A5 / Low / Lo)
  • L2 (A6)
  • L3

Algorithm types for determination of alarm triggering

  • Single (Single Event), alarm will be triggered when sensor readings exceed alarm limit for time not less than Alarm Delay time consecutively
  • Cumulative (Cumulative Event), alarm will be triggered when sensor readings exceed alarm limit for a total time not less than Alarm Delay time

Edit Configuration Profile

  • Double click any configuration profile record in Configuration Profiles page to enter configuration profile details page
  • Make the changes you need to current configuration profile
  • click Save in tool bar to save the changes

Export Configuration File

  • Double click any configuration profile record in Configuration Profiles page to enter configuration profile details page
  • click  on tool bar to export current configuration profile as configuration file (.cfg)

 

You could save the exported configuration file (.cfg) to removable storage device "TempSenDisk" created by TempSen data logger to apply configurations to the connected logger, this is a software-free approach to configure a data logger, no need to use TempSen Express or other TempSen software during the configuration.

Delete Configuration Profile

  • Select configuration profile records in Configuration Profiles page by single click
  • click  on tool bar to delete selected configuration profiles
